Club Setup

Like any other Rotary Club, the set-up of Maluba RC comprises the general membership of the Club. In order to address the various functions of the Club, there are Committees and Club Officers charged with responsibilities to facilitate and take leadership of such functions. The Club President is the officer responsible for the overall running of the Club. He/she is assisted by other officers including the President-Elect, Vice President, President Nominee, Treasurer, President Nominee-Nominee, Secretary, Immediate Past-President and Sergeant-At-Arms, as well as Chairpersons of Committees. All these constitute the Board of Directors of the Club.

The standing Committees of the Club are:

The Strategic Plan of Maluba Rotary Club is formulated in line with the Rotary International’s Strategic Plan, and the District 9210 Plan which identifies three strategic priorities, namely:

  1. Support and Strengthen Clubs
  2. Focus and Increase Humanitarian Service
  3. Enhance Public Image and Awareness

The three strategic priorities are supported by 16 goals:

Support and Strengthen Clubs

  • Foster club innovation and flexibility
  • Encourage clubs to participate in a variety of service activities while recognizing ‘Water and Sanitation’ as the signature project for Africa
  • Promote membership diversity
  • Improve member recruitment and retention
  • Develop leaders
  • Start new, dynamic clubs
  • Encourage strategic planning at club and district levels

Focus and Increase Humanitarian Service

  • Eradicate Polio
  • Increase collaboration and connections with other organisations
  • Create significant projects both locally and internationally while recognizing ‘Water and Sanitation’ being the signature project for Africa
